Watch: Evgeni Malkin Sets Up Phil Kessel With Beautiful Saucer Pass

The flood gates are officially open and overrunning PNC Bank Arena. Through two periods the Pittsburgh Penguins have opened up a 5-0 lead on the Carolina Hurricanes.

The fifth goal was a beautifully set up play from start to finish. Evgeni Malkin had the puck at the right circle and delivered a perfectly placed saucer pass in between two Hurricanes’ defenders, hitting Phil Kessel perfectly.

Set up at the opposite circle, Kessel delivered a one-timer that beat Hurricanes’ goaltender Cam Ward and pushed the score to 5-0.

This game has also featured goals by Trevor Daley, Carl Hagelin, Conor Sheary and Chris Kunitz for the Penguins. Matt Murray has made 22 saves through the first two periods.
